Make your way up the hill to the village (collecting a scroll on the way). You'll soon reach the first hostage in front of a burning building.

You'll find yourself at a T-Junction, so go left and you'll see a gate on fire.There is a scroll there to. Now go back the way you came until you reach thefisherman's wharf area.
There is a crate suspended by a rope so use your swordto cut it down and carry on over the crates. Then go up the boxes on the otherside until you reached a raised area.
On your left is a Shield (collect it), to your right a hay cart. Hit the haycart twice to get it moving. This will ram into a water tower and put theflames out. This clears your path to continue.
Now go to the square, killing any annoying pirates you encounter on the way. You will soon encounter Pactolus.
This fight can be over quickly if you makeconstant use of the knee attack. Try to finish the fight quickly as twohenchmen will run on at intervals to help him out.
Once that's over collect the scroll and the resurrection jewel.
SCROLL LOCATIONS - Next to the burning gate and the second is in the area youfight Pactolus. Look under the bell next to the resurrection jewel and goldenshield pick-up.
LEVEL 4 - Isle of Kronos

Large boulders will be chucked at you as you explore the beach. You can usethis to get rid of the blocks that stand in your path.
Simply stand in frontof the rock that's in your way and wait for a boulder to come flying towardsyou. Remember to leap out of the way at the last minute and the boulder willshatter the rocks and allow you to continue.
Hunt around the beach for the first scroll, once you find it, the two rocksbehind it will have some goodies for you.
Carry on up the mountain running andjumping over the boulders rolling toward you. Your gaol is to reach thewaterfall. At the waterfall, listen to Ares' riddle, and collect the scrollthere.
Now carry on around the bend and prepare to encounter a Cyclops!. Retreat to asafe distance and use your Chakram on his eye, then run forward to quickly useyour sword on his fingers as they cling to the edge.
BE CAREFUL, he can knockyou over the edge. Once you've timed it right and done enough damage he willfall and you can carry on up the path.
SCROLL LOCATIONS - First is to the right of the "To Valarian's Castle" sign. The second is the water where you talked to Ares.
LEVEL 5 - Trail of Gabrielle

Make your way through the valley. There are archers above you and soldiers infront. Take out the archers with your Chakram.
When you reach the end of thevalley climb up the ledges. There is a scroll at the top of the hill. Continue up the path opposite you and fight off the soldiers as you go.
You'll soon reach a T-junction where you should turn right. Follow the sign tothe beehive and kill the two archers there.
Now BEFORE you hit the beehivewith your Charam, be ready to run back through the T-junction very quickly. OK, now hit the beehive with your Chakram, turn and run.
Carry on straightthrough the T-junction and you'll reach a bridge with a large Ogre guarding it.If you run right up next to him the bees will attack him and kill him.
Now he is dead collect the Scroll and run quickly across the bridge. It willcollapse behind you so be fast.
SCROLL LOCATIONS - The first is one the Hill, left of the T-Junction, thesecond is behind a tree where the Ogre is guarding the bridge.
LEVEL 6 - Valaran's Castle
First off all, turn right around and collect the Invulnerability power upbehind you. Now go across the bridge and kill the guard. Collect the firstscroll from the other side of the bridge on the left.
The castle ahead willbegin to fire catapults at you. To get to the castle quickly, fire up theInvulnerability and run through the camp in front of the castle. Ignore theguards, they can't hurt you when you're Invulnerable.
(If you want to find the second scroll, there is a detour, check detailsbelow).
When you reach the moat take up a position of the far right and use yourChakram to break the chain links holding up the drawbridge. Do the same on theother side and now you can enter the castle.
SCROLL LOCATIONS - The first Scroll is across the bridge to the left. Thesecond requires some extra effort. First stand between the building and the"This way to army recruiting office" sign.
Wait for the flaming catapults todestroy the side of the building (make sure you dodge, or you'll get hurt).Now, climb up to find an archer, Resurrection Jewel, Armour Upgrade, and thesecond Scroll.
LEVEL 7 - Valaran's Secret
Use your trusty Chakram to kill the archers on the roofs. When they are dead,collect the Scroll in the Courtyard and keep killing the guards who appear andattack you.
The second scroll is hidden on the battlements. Push the catapultaround and line it up with the corner of the courtyard next to the cart.
Hitthe rope to release the catapult and the wall will crumble; now you can jump upand collect the scroll.
When all the guards are dead, three bodyguards will come out of a door at thefar end of the courtyard.
The best tactic against these thugs is to hold backand block until the pause, then kick them. Your lovely legs will do moredamage than your sword. Work it girl!
SCROLL LOCATIONS - The first Scroll is in the Courtyard to the left, front of asmall building. The second needs the Catapult.
Aim the Catapult at thebuilding in the upper-right corner, then cut the rope to send the fireball intothe building. Climb up to get the second Scroll.
LEVEL 8 - The Labyrinth
As you enter the Labyrinth, go left then turn left again to find a Scroll. Carry on following the corridor and jump across the gaps in the floor.
Spiderswill come after you, but they are better avoided as they are quite hard toattack.
Although this is supposed to be a maze, there is actually only oneroute you can take. Soon you'll reach a corridor full of spider's webs. Killthe spiders and make your way though to the end to find a switch.
You'll need to use your Chakram to know the mummified corpse onto the switch. Now that's done retrace your steps back to the start of the level.
Now head to the right, the route which was previously blocked by a gate is nowclear. Keep following the corridors. Be on your toes as a Minotaur will appeara charge you before running off.
At the end of the corridor you'll reach theroom with Gabrielle in it. When you enter the door locks behind you and theMinotaur with attack.
Pick up the Resurrection Jewel and Scroll in the centreof the room before you take him one.
He isn't too hard. Keep your distanceand avoid his charges, two hits with the Chakram should be enough to kill him.
SCROLL LOCATIONS - Go forward, left, and left again to find the first Scrolland a Health Potion. The second Scroll is located in the room where you fightthe Minotaur and save Gabrielle
LEVEL 9 - Renegade Village
Now you've got Gabrielle with you. You need to keep her alive to succeed inthis level. You will be beset by Amazonians who are a right pain to beat.
Trynot to get into close combat, use the Chakram as much as possible. Try to jumptheir rolling attacks and keep Gabrielle safe!
When you begin the level the first scroll is in front of you, the second is inthe centre of the village next to a cooking pot.
Keep working your way aroundthe village collecting power - ups, you'll find the Gate Key in a vase at theedge of the level.
Once you have it, unlock the locked gates to finish thelevel.
SCROLL LOCATIONS - The first Scroll is in front of you. Follow the stone pathuntil you reach the "This way to Village Gate" sign, follow the path to theleft until it starts to go between two walls. Then, turn right to see thesecond Scroll next to a pot.
LEVEL 10 - Rivers of Blood
A scroll awaits right in front of you as you begin this level. So pick it up! Behind it is a new weapon, a Staff. Practise using it, it will come in handyfor swatting annoying Amazons.
When you are ready carry on across the bridges,and remember to keep Gabrielle free from harm. You'll come across the secondscroll as you go.
Turn right just before the third bridge and you'll find ahidden area with plenty of power up goodies!
Make your way towards a big suspension bridge. As you cross, boomerangs willbe chucked at you from both sides, they can knock you off so be careful. Onthe other side is another secret area.
Drop down onto a ledge next to thewaterfall and jump in front of the waterfall for some more stuff. Back up tothe path and follow to the end to finish the level. Where dear littleGabrielle gets kidnapped *again* >_<
SCROLL LOCATIONS - Turn right straightaway to see the first Scroll in front oftwo jars and a Staff. The second Scroll lies across the first bridge.
LEVEL 11 - Lost Temple
There's a Staff and a Health Potion by the door, Collect them then go up thepath in front of you to the Arena. It's there you will fight the Amazon Queen.
Before you take her on it's time to collect some useful items. Pick up thescroll in the centre then go up to the path at the side of the waterfall andjump across to get the second scroll.

Now attack all the Amazons. You must defeat them all before the Queen arrives.You must use your Staff on them, if it's gets lost, find another. You'll havea very hard time without it.
Once the Amazons are defeated the Queen willappear. You can't defeat her, but you need to whack he about a bit with yourStaff until she invokes the evil Goddess Kalibrax and sends you down to Hades!

Dyzan is only vulnerable to attack when he is in the lava pools. Above eachpool is a stalactite. Use your Chakram on the stalactites to drop them onDyzan's head.
The best tactic is to run as far as possible and make sure thereis one lava pool between you and Dyzan.
As he flies towards you shoot theceiling as he nears the pool, time it right and the stalactite will drop on hishead. Three stalactites to the head will finish the big guy off.

LEVEL 13 - Road to Hades

Go round the first corner and kill the two zombies who'll rise out of theground. Pick up the first scroll and then make your way carefully across theplatforms.
Try and move quickly as bats will attack you and they are almostimpossible to hit. At the end of the platforms the path splits left and right.Take the right path.

Go past the fire breathing gargoyles until you get to some sinking platforms. Jump across these to find a skull switch. Activate this to release a Golem atthe end of the level.
Now retrace your steps back and take the left route andcarry on down. You'll find the second scroll. At the end is a Golem on aplatform. To defeat him, you must knock him into the lava. Use your rollingattack to push him towards the edge and don't fall in yourself!
Once he's dead, go back to the switch and activate it again to exit the level.

Go down the steps and collect the first scroll. Ahead you can see two switcheson either side of a "lavafall". Use your Chakram to knock down the stalactitehanging to the right and then head towards that switch.
Once activated youcan reach the switch on the left. Hot that switch to halt the lavafall andcarry on through.

In the room you are now in head towards the Archway, moving quickly across thecollapsing bridge.
Cross two more bridges and you'll end up next to the secondscroll. Now jump onto the long platform ahead of you and use your Chakram onthe switch ahead.

Right at the start of the level, use your Chakram to strike the bell on theother side of the room. This summons Death. He will rather helpfully ferryyou across the lava.

Now carry on past some fire breathing gargoyles and run past a Golem. Dodgepast him to collect the first scroll. You find some plates on the floor.
Stand on the first and the plates ahead will light up briefly showing the safeway across. Step off the path and you'll be fatally electrocuted.

Collect the second scroll from in front of the Well of Souls. You'll see somepillars with green flames on top. Use your Chakram to put the flames out.
Take out the ones on the right first, as Spirits will appear forcing you toretreat and you'll lose the line of sight ot the right hand ones. One touchfrom the spirits means death, so watch it.
Once the flames are out the Spiritswill be gone and you can exit the level.

There is a scroll in front of you right at the start. Then head rightwardsdown the hill and look for a switch hidden in one of the buildings. Activateit in order to open a bridge at the top of the town.

Retrace your steps back to the start and take the other path up the hill. Lookout for the second scroll on your left. When you reach the Toll Bridge use along jump to get to it.
Grab the sword to the left and jump down the steepslope on the right to leave the level.

Pick up the scroll in front of you as you begin. Now jump across the platformsuntil you reach a raised area. Here you'll confront the first sister. Avoidthe green gaze; this will turn you to stone.
The tail attacks can knock youoff your feet too. There are plenty of power ups and health potions to befound by smashing the pots lying about the place, so it shouldn't be too hard.

There is a scroll in front of you and to the right of it an Ogre. You willmeet several Ogres on this level. The way to defeat them is to knock them overthe edge.
Do this by standing as near to the edge as you can and let them runat you. Then dodge around the back of them and kick them off the edge. Stayclose to the Ogres and they can't use their clubs on you.
Deal with the first Ogre and you'll see a gold cylinder rise out of a pillar ona different part of the level. More Xena Warrior Princess Tips:
As you progress though the level, morecylinders will rise up. Memorise the order they appear as it is important forlater on.

Now go down to the central hub and pillar and you'll see three paths leadingoff. Go up the right hand path and kill the next Ogre there. Return and takethe left path and kill the third Ogre.
The go back and up the middle path. Kill the fourth Ogre and when he's gone you'll see a sign pointing into spacefrom the area he was in.

Jump along the platforms the sign points to until you reach a Key andResurrection Jewel. Collect them and return to the central hub. Take the leftpath again and use the Key on the gates.

Two bodyguards armed with scythes rush out and attack you. Don't trythe Chakram on them, they are too fast, use plenty of slash attacks and yourrolling attack.
There are two scrolls either side of the Altar. You can tryand collect them when one Bodyguard has been killed.

Once both are dead the flame wall around Kalabrax will subside. She will thenrush and attack you.
Now the flames are gone you can pick up a ResurrectionJewel and Invulnerability power - up. But keep them in reserve as the battlewill get harder.

Stay close to Kalabrax and avoid her Firebolts and Rolling Attacks. Usecareful timing of blocks and attacks to exploit pauses in her attack pattern. You should finish her off without too much hassle.

Now when she dies a Demon appears. Time for some Invulnerability! You can gobehind the altar to avoid his attacks. You can't hurt him from here either,but you can take a breather and heal if you need to.
TO kill him, run out andstand in front of a pillar. He will rush you. Cartwheel out of the way at thelast moment and he will knock the pillar down.
The goal here is to get him toknock all the pillars down so the roof collapses.

A good tactic is to have him knock down the pillars at the far end of the roomfirst so when the place caves in you won't have so far to run. Once enoughpillars have been destroyed the roof will cave in and flatten the foul fiend.
Make sure you reach the altar or you'll be squished as well. The statue abovethe altar protects you.

Hello and welcome to my Full FAQ/Walkthrough for Ultimate Spider-Man.
As youalready know, this game has been made according to the ultimate universe andyou will notice many differences in the story-line if you have not read theultimate spider man comics.
The game itself is pretty good but not withoutits share of flaws. I hope you enjoy the game as well as my FAQ.
Plese note that although this FAQ is for the PC version of the game, 95% ofthe FAQ will be applicable to the console versions as well. 2) CONTROLS

These meters are present in the top right corner oor top left corner of thescreen.
3.1 - Race Meter
This meter shows up when you are racing some one. There are two meters, onehas a picture of spider-man and the other of the person you are racing. Thefurther each picture is from the other, the more far apart they are fromeach other.
3.2 - Chase Meter
This meter shows up when you are chasing some one. A single meter has twopictures on it, one of spider-man and the other of the villian you are chasing.The distance between the two pictures shows how far apart you are from thevillian.
3.3 - Threat Assessment Meter
This round meter will show you the amount of time left for you to stop thethreat.
3.4 - Strength Test Meter
This mutli-coloured metre will be shown when you have to do a task innvolvingyour strenth. You have to press the web swing and web attack buttonsperiodically in order to keep the pointer in the green area for some time tosucceed.
3.5 - Health Meter
This meter will show you the amount of health left before you die. It is inthe top left corner of the screen.
3.6 - Boss Health Meter
This meter will show you the amount of health left before the boss dies. It isin the middle of the screen. 4) THE STORY SO FAR............

Recently, their sons Peter Parker and Eddie Brock, Jr. discovered the finalremaining sample of the Venom suit-and unleashed the nightmare of Venom.
When Eddie and the Venom suit vanished in a flash of electricity, Peterlearned one fundamental rule of super hero buisness: "If there's no corpse-theguy's alive."
Now,three months later, Peter Parker continues his double life as both Highschool student and Spider-Man. Unbeknownst to Peter, Venom is terrorizing thestreets of New York once again. 5) WEB SWINGING TECHNIQUES
Ok, the first thing that you should do is changing the controls. The defaultcontrols are very confusing and very difficult to master. The default controlsare as follows:
Web Swinging....Left Mouse Button
Web Attack...Right Mouse Button
Web Zip...Left Mouse + Right Mouse (at the same time)
Jump...Space Bar
Double Jump...Space Bar + Space Bar
Up....W
Down...S
Left...A
Right...D
Like I stated earlier, these controls are very difficult to master. You shouldchange your controls to these buttons:
Web Swinging....Left Ctrl Button
Web Attack....Left SHIFT Button
Web Zip...Left Ctrl + Left SHIFT (at the same time)
Jump...Space Bar
Double Jump...Space Bar + Space Bar
Up....Up button
Down...Down Button
Left...Left Button
Right...Right Button
Please note that these controls are best used for web swinging and may mess upyour combat controls. Remember to change controls when you fight.
5.1 - Getting a Good Start
The most important thing while web swinging is getting a good start. If youare standing on the road then the best way to get some height is to press andhold space bar and then press space bar again. Now press the left Ctrl buttonat the maximum height.
You will get a decent height most of the time. If youare standing on top of a roof, then look for a nearby tall building and doublejump towards it. Press Left Ctrl button when you are midway in the jump.
Ifthere is no tall building nearby then web zipping might be a good idea to getsome height.
5.2 - The First Swing also Determines the Last
After getting some height, your first swing is the most important one. Do itcleanly and you will end up web swinging smoothly, do it rough and you mayhave to restart. The best time to press the left Ctrl button is determined bythe player himself.
I found the best time to press the web swing button atsome distance away from the building. After you shoot out a web, keep the leftCtrl button pressed, don't let go of it. REMEMBER that the navigation controlshelp you a lot.
Use them to aim away from the building. When you reach thetop of your swing, press jump and then jump again to gain some more height andswing towards the nearest building. Keep repeating and you will steadily gainheight and speed.
5.3 - Maintaining Height and Speed
Remember that your web zipping ability is NOT useless. In fact, it is necessaryfor you to master it in order to swing smoothly.
The city is made up of tall aswell as small buildings and they are randomly placed. Trying to web swing on asmall building is completely useless. ALWAYS be prepared to web zip if you seea small building up ahead.
The best time to press the web zip buttons is whenyou are falling down and you are almost at the same level of the roof of thebuilding. The web zipping ability not only maintains your momentum but alsogives you some height as well.
You can also use your web zipping ability toreach for the nearest building when you unexpectedly encounter an empty gardenetc.
5.4 - Speedy But Risky Swinging
I found this technique useful at times when I wanted to web swing quickly afterfalling to ground level but did not have the time to gain height and speed.Basically all you do is press double jump to gain some height and then keeppressing the web swinging button again and again while maintaining a roughcontrol on the navigation.
This method will some times give you enough timeto cover up in a race for example. However, be vary that this technique isNOT useful at all times. Its up to the player to determine which time is thebest to use it according to the surroundings.
Generally, you should use thistechnique if tall buildings are nearby. Try to avoid the ground level obstacleslike bill boards and poles etc when applying this technique.
5.5 - Jumping to Switch Routes
There will be many times when you have to change routes. For example, you areswinging smoothly in a straight line and all of a sudden you have to swingleft.
Instead of aiming the swing towards the left, it's best to press doublejump and use the navigation controls to aim left and then web swing in thatdirection. Remember to web zip in case there are small buildings that way.Be careful about the poles, bill boards etc you may encounter.
5.6 - What if I get Hit?
While web swinging, if your swing ends up straight into a bill board theninstead of falling to the ground and restarting, it's best to keep the leftCtrl button pressed and double jump. Use your navigation controls to aim forthe center of the road and press the web swing button again.
5.7 - Final Word
The web swinging in this game is a little hard compared to the previous game.I would advise you to spend at least one-two hours practicing web swingingbefore getting along with the game.
5.8 - PC/Console Differences
Although I am sure there must be some differences, the basic hints/tips stillapply to the console versions as well. Since I DONT have the console version,I cannot help you with it. But you can still send me strategies about theconsole versions along side the PC version, I will readily accept them aslong as they make sense. 6) CITY EVENTS
These are the missions which are not connected to the main missions but arenecessary to do in order to progress the game. Most of these missions show upas a red dot on the in-game map. The races are shown as a purple dot.
6.1 - Injured People
Every now and then you will encounter injured people. Go near them and press Fto pick them up. Now swing them over to the hospistal in time.
6.2 - Hanging People
At times you will have to help people who are hanging from a building top.Crawl near the person in time, pick him up and put him down safely.
6.3 - People Being Mugged
Every now and then you will encounter a person being mugged. Just take outall the attackers and return whatever they were trying to steal.
6.4 - Police Need Help
The police are being fired upon, land down and take out all attackers.
6.5 - Burglary
This will be a group of people (4 at least) trying to rob some thing. Takethem all out via the usual methods.
6.6 - Someone's Robbing an Armored Car
Same as a burglary, except this time they are trying there luck on an armoredcar. Take them out via the usual methods.
6.7 - Gangster At War
This will be opposite gang members battling each other. Mop up any survivor.
6.8 - car Chases
The criminal's are escaping in a car. Land on it and keep beating it theycome out. Watch out for the bullets. Take them out when they exit the vehicle.
6.9 - Car Driver Gone Nuts
Some driver goes crazy and begins to drive like an idiot. Try to calm himdown, BY BEATING his car.
6.10 - Shocker And Boomerang
You will encounter shocker and boomerang some times. Both are very easy todefeat. They are not bosses. Consider them as thugs with some crazy equipment.
6.11 - Combat Tours
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
These are tours around the different gang territories beating up variousgang members. You usually have to fight at least 4 groups of gangsters atdifferent places before the combat tour ends. They are shown as purple dots onthe map. The purple HALO has a fist drawn inside it. They increase your healthwith each successfull tour.
6.12 - Trick Races
These are races pointed by purple dots on your map. The purple HALO has asprinter drawn inside it. I recommend you to try these races as the more youtry, the more skilled you will become at web swinging.
6.13 - Human Torch Races

You have to complete five trick races to be able to challenge the human torch.He will be at the Baxter Building. Each race is harder then the previous onebut you get a web swing speed upgrade with each succesfull race, so you mightwanna try these.
6.14 - Tokens

Well these are not city events but its best if you find them outside thestory missions. Collecting these tokens unlocks various rewards. There aresecret tokens, land scape tokens and comic cover tokens. All three have theirown rewards and should be done if you have free time.

7.1 - Boss Fight: Venom

You start the game with a boss fight against Venom. This is very easy bossfight. Just go near him, puch/kick and jump away. Remember to double jumpwhen your spider-sense warns you. You will get a message to lead him out ofthe football field, do it and the battle will shift to the streets.

Here Venom will try to absorb you. Rapidly press the web attack and web swingbuttons to break free. Repeat the previous tactics about attacking him whileavoiding the electricity surging out of the damaged wires. Keep attackinghim until a cut-scene starts.
7.2 - Time For A Workout

You get control of Peter again. You have to follow the path to his home. Youcannot web swing right now since you DONT have your web shooters. Jump allthe way to his home for a cut-scene. Now you have to web swing to a thelocation where Mary Jane is i-e an abandoned warehouse. Cut-scene. Now youget to fight the Shocker.

Boss Fight: Shocker
This is a very easy battle. You cannot even call it a boss battle. Just useyour web attack to web up his shock units (on his wrists) and he will end upshocking himself.

You now have to new marker. Swing your way to it. Help the lady by taking outthe thugs. You now have another location to go to. Swing your way to it for acut-scene with the Human Torch.
You now have to race him. This is a prettyeasy race. If you can't swing properly then read my section on Web Swingingtechniques for more information. Remember to web zip where required. Winthe race to get swing speed upgrade 2.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
If a green dot comes on the map, you have completed all goals and can nowprogress the story, if that's the case then swing towards the green dot. If youdon't see any dot then some thing is left. Check the city events menu in thepause menu to see what you are missing and complete it. Anyhow, get to greenmarker for a cut-scene.
7.3 - Venom
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
You get control of venom. Follow the onscreen instructions about controllingvenom. Use the locomotion jump to get around. When you get to thugs, thebest attack against them would be the tentacles. Take them out and proceed yousee a kid with a baloon.
You are introduced to the feeding system. Absorbthe kid and follow the marker until you get a message to throw a motor cycle.Do it for a cut-scene.
Boss Fight: Wolverine
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
This fight can be slightly difficult. You probably already know that Wolverineis an expert in close quarter combats, so DONT go near him to attack. Insteadkeep using your tentacle attack on him all the time.
Remember to feed on thenearby humans if you run low on health. DONT even think about feeding onwolverine since he will claw out of you. Very soon a small mini-game willstart.
If you win, you will throw wolverine through a wall. If you lose he willthrow you through a wall. Whatever happens, the fight shifts to a dojo. Justkeep using your tentacle attack on wolverine until you win.
7.4 - Enter R.H.I.N.O
Complete any city goals you have to progress the story.

Watch the cut-scene. Swing through the marker to see an injured man. Grab himand drop him near the ambulance behind you. Now you have to save the owner ofthe store. Go near him and press the Grab button to start a mini-game. You haveto keep the pointer in the green section.
Win the mini-game and go after theguys who were robing him. Take them out. Continue to swing forward and you willsee a women trapped under a car. Help her by winning the mini-game and thenpick her upand drop her near the ambulance.
Now have to take the car out ofthe subway. Win the mini-game to do so and swing forward for a cut-scene.

You have to chase after R.H.I.N.O. He is not that hard, keep an eye on themeter. He will throw a car into a building. Save the man who is hanging bycrawling near him and grabbing him. The boss fight has two parts. The first part takes place near the constructionsite. You see him trying to lift a feul tank type of thing. You can let him dothat. You only have a couple of seconds.
You have to get on his back. Pressjump and then the grab button to get on his back. Punch him a couple of timesand jump off. Run towards the wet cement and stand on it. Wait for him to dohis punch and jump away. He will be stuck. Now near the crane and press theF button (grab) for a cut-scene.

You have to chase after him. He will be in a parking lot. You have to jump alot to so be prepared. He will send out shock waves along side throwing carsat you. Jump away from all of them.
Very soon you will get a notificationtelling you that it's safe to get on his back. Carefully jump and get on hisback. Land 5 punches and jump away. If you stay on it too long, he will damageyou when he falls on his back. After he falls on his back he will do a seriesof attacks.
He will give off a mega shock wave. After that he will charge atyou and do two mega punches followed by normal shock waves. Dont try to get onhis back until you get a notification saying it's safe to do so. Repeat theprevious strategy.
When only 3 brackets of his life are left, he will beginto charge at you all the time. Guide him towards a wall and jump out of theway. Keep repeating until he falls down. Attack him till his life-bar endscompletely for a cut-scene.
7.5 - Venom Again
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
You get control of venom again. This time silver sable is after you. Well notexactly her, but her small army. In this mission you have to just run aroundthe city taking care of her mercenaries. Just use your locomotion jump andtentacle zips to follow the arrow.
You have to take out almost 10 groups ofmercenaries at different parts of the city. The best attack against them isfeeding on them. Yes, ignore everything else and just feed, feed and feed. Thisway your health will stay up as well.
But if the going gets a little too toughthen throwing a car is a very good alternative. Just keep feeding and goingfor the next batch of mercenaries until a cut-scene starts.

7.6 - Spider Vs Alien
Complete any city goals you have before continuing.
Watch the cut-scene.
Boss Fight: Venom

This fight is pretty easy if you know what you are doing. DONT stay too closeto venom otherwise you suffer from a headache and you are left vulnerable fora small period of time.
Venom makes maximum use of that time. Plus if youstay near him for too long, he will try to absorb you. Win the mini-game toget out if thats the case. All you do is use aerial attacks.
Press Double jumpand then press the kick button twice and spidey will automatically do a doublekick on Venom, back off after that and keep repeating this strategy until youwin the fight. Cut-scene.
7.7 - Ewww, whats that?
Complete all city goals to proceed the story.

7.8 - Enter Electro

You have to chase after Electro. Watch out at the start off the race as he willgive off a small electric charge. Jump to avoid it. During the race he willgive off massive electric discharges.
This is a huge ball of electricity whichwill not only damage you but throw you back. Normally when he is hovering at aparticular place he is about to give off the huge electric charge so get asfar away as possible.
Keep using you super locomotion jump to scale buildingsin one jump. Keep up with him. When he says "Going Up", he will go a 200 feetabove, when he says "Reaching top floor" he is descending. Follow his path andbe vary of his sudden path changes.
This chase can be a little tough but youshould be able to get it done within 8-9 retries.
Boss Fight: Electro

This fight is divided into two parts. In the first part Electro is very easy.He has only three attacks right now. His first attack will be the usual boltof electricity which is easy to dodge and does minor damage. His second attackis his massive electric discharge.
Jump away when you see him recharging. Histhird attack is not on you but on spider-man. If you stray too far, he willbegin to fry spider-man which is bad as he is yours. In this first phase justkeep wacking him being vary of his occasional attack until a cut-scene startsin which he absorbs a lot of energy and turns blue.
This part is a littletough. The first thing you should do is take out as many electrical bill boardsas you can. Either throw cars at them or jump and punch into them. Be vary ifyou stray too far he might begin to fry spider-man.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
After you have taken care of all the signs, start throwing cars at him. He willdodge a couple but will get hit eventually. He usually dodges the first 3 or 4and gets hit by the next.
Now he is temporarily vulnerable (2 seconds), eitherthrow a car at him or punch him. He will turn blue again. Keep repeating thisand if you took down most of the electrical signs, he WONT have anything torecharge with and you can continue attacking him. Keep at it till he falls.
7.9 - Weird Suits are the Latest Fashion
Complete all city goals you have.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
Watch the cut-scene. You have to chase beetle. This chase is easier then thechase against Electro. Swing after him and very soon you will see a cut-scenein which he damages the tunnel and two people are caught under it. Swing tothem and take them to the ambulance a little behind you one by one. They aretwo of them.
Intead of going through the tunnel, swing over it and and followthe path swinging from the buildings towards the Queensborough Bridge and swingall the way under it to the other side and resume the chase.
Tail him and youwill see another cut-scene in which he flies through a window setting theinterior on fire. You need to save that women so swing over to her, grabher and drop her near the ambulance.
Resume the chase. He will try to blockyour path by throwing some type of barriers in your way. Either swing over orweb zip them and continue the chase until a cut-scene starts. He damages acar and three people are stuck in it.
Free all three people in the car andcontinue the chase avoiding his obstacles until a cut-scene starts. You haveto chase him again. Avoid all obstacles and keep at it until the chase ends.
Boss Fight: The Beetle
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
This is a pretty easy boss fight. You have two floors to place the fight on.Both floors are okay for the battle. He has four attacks. He will fire laserbeam at you, which is easy to dodge.
He will throw a type of laser grenadewhich is a little tough to avoid. He will swoop down at you from mid-air, thisis easy to avoid. And he has a massive laser attack similar to Electro'smassive electric discharge although this one is easy to avoid.
All you have todo is wait for him swoop at you, dodge, press double jump and then press thekick button twice to attack him and then jump away. That's it. Keep repeatingthis and you will be done with him in no time. When he left is with only 1/3 ofhis health, he just dissapears.

Venom goes out of control and you know have to fight silver sable. She is veryeasy. She may have plently of agility and training but she is still a humanand weak. Just use your tentacle attack on her most of time jumping away whenshe takes out her gun.
You should only need to feed on one human through outthe fight. Just keep attacking her, you can also throw cars at her for extradamage. Take her down for a cut-scene.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
You know have to escape Silver Sable's men. This is four phase escape. In thefirst part its just her men. Keep feeding on them. Dont attack them. Just feedand feed until you get a message to make a run for it. Jump and jump and jumpall the way to the green marker for a cut-scene. Now helicopters join thechase.
You have to feed/take out atleast 10-15 more of Silver Sable's men whilethe helicopter attacks you. Just keep feeding and jumping until you get amessage to make a run for it. Again ignore everything and jump and jump allthe way to the green marker for a cut-scene.
One chopper down...more to go.In this phase feed/take out another 10-15 of her men while avoiding the chopperand then make a run for the green marker. This is the last phase. Jump downsome more of her men and run for the green marker for a cut-scene.
7.11 - Listen To Advise
Complete any city goals you have.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
You now have to chase the green goblin. He is very easy to tail around. Justkeep swinging from building to building watching out for his occasionalfire-ball. Whenever your spider-sense tingles,double jump in any direction.He usually throws two fire balls so double jump twice.
Keep following himand after some time he will drop a billboard and there are three people trappedunder it. Go to each one and win the mini-game to lift it up. While you aredoing it he will chuck fire-balls at you. Nothing can be done about it so justhurry and then keep chasing him until a cut-scene starts.
Boss Fight: Green Goblin
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
This fight may look hard at first but its fairly easy. While Goblin is onfire you CANT hurt him. He has a couple of attacks. He will thow three fireballs at you, one at a time, they are easy to dodge as you just have to jumpout of the way.
His second attack will be trying to jump on you, this is alsoeasy to dodge by jumping in the opposite direction. His third attack is apair of fireballs at the same time.
This is a little tough to avoid. The bestway to avoid these is jumping the first one and then pressing the web swingbutton to avoid the second one. The goblin will now be fatigued. This is yourchance. Land near him and keep attacking him till he regains his fire. Repeatthis strategy until you finish half of his health for a cut-scene.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
In this phase of the fight the goblins attacks are changed. His still has hisfire balls so jump out of the way. He will try to jump on you three times insuccesion so be quick with the jump button. Now he will stand for one secondas if mustering all his strength into a single flame and try to jump on you.
JUMP away when he has almost landed as he will now give off a massive flamedischarge similar to Electro's massive electricity discharge. The goblin willnow be fatigued so keep attacking him until he regains his fire. Repeat thisstrategy until you win.
7.12 - The most Wanted Guy (or alien) in Manhattan

Complete any city goals you have.
You have to chase after beetle. This is a very easy chase since you are venomand you locomotion jump covers large distances plus beetle flies slowly.Anyhow, keep chasing beetle from roof to roof watching out for his occasionalattack until you see a cut-scene. This was one of the easiest chases in thegame.
Boss Fight: The Beetle
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
This is a difficult boss fight. It is also divided into two phases. The firstphase takes place inside a warehouse. In this area he will fly around droppinglaser bombs at you. Keep jumping to avoid them. Every now and then he standstill at some place and fire lasers at you.
Take a locomotion jump and try toland near him like the goblin used to land near you. Start attaking him withyour tentacles immediately. He will begin to fly again. Sometimes he will takeout red coloured laser swords and will fly around and taken a sudden lunge atyou. This is the ideal time to attack him.
Carefully watch him and just whenhe is about to swiftly move towards you, start your tentacle attack and keepattacking him until he flies away. Repeat the above strategy until his lifereduces to 50% and a cut-scene starts.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
This is phase two of the fight and is even difficult then the previous. Watchout for the pits here as they are very damaging. He is a fairly simple patternof attacks. He will go to any of the corners and do a laser attack covering allthe area.
Watch him carefully and when he goes to the repective corner, useyour locomotion jump to jump straight into the field and slide down. Quick doa tentacle attack on him while AVOIDING the pit. Repeat the above pattern 3-4times and he will change attacks.
He will now either take out his laser swords,do a massive laser discharge or a super laser sweep. If he takes out the lasersword then tentacle attack him when he tries to swing into you, if he does amassive laser discharge, jump out of the way and then attack, if he does thesuper laser sweep, watch out and jump towards his back and do either a tentacleattack or a claw attack. Repeat the above strategy until you win.
7.13 - Stronger Then a Very Large Horse

Complete any city goals you have.
Boss Fight: Silver Sable
This is a fairly hard fight considering you dont have your web-shooters. Youwill only do one attack through out the whole fight and that's double jumpingand then pressing the kick button twice.
Back off after that attack and repeat.You should start by taking out silver sable's men. Now focus all your attentionon her being extra cautious when she uses her gun. Keep attacking her and aftersome time, more of her men will attack.
Take out all four of them first, DONOTignore them as their gun shots WILL damage you. Focus all your attention onsilver sable after that and watch the cut-scene when only 1/3 of her life baris left.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
You now have to save the people. Start by going to the car that has nearlyfallen off. Silver Sable will help you. Win the mini-game twice. Now go tothe car behind you and save the person. Now wall crawl all the way to fallingman and take him.
Drop him down and last of all, go towards the car silversable is standing near and win the mini-game. Watch the cut-scene. First youget to fight her, now you have to save her!
7.14 - Super Hero's Work is Never Done
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
You have to chase after Venom. This is the toughest chase of the whole game.You've played with venom plenty of times and you know he moves using thelocomotion jump which is like thrice as fast as your web swinging. Plus hewill be on top of rooftops while you will be swinging so you dont actuallyget to see him and you have to rely on your in-game map.
Just keep followinghim making best use of your web swinging abilities. It would be helpful ifyou have swing speed upgrade 3 or greater (win races against human torch).Just keep trying until you end up winning. Dont be surprised if it takes youmore then 15 retries to beat him because it took me 18.
Boss Fight: Venom
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
You get to fight Venom again. Fighting against Venom should be very easy foryou by now. He has all his previous attacks with one addition. He will knowthrow cars at you. Jump away to avoid. Remember you still cant stay too closeto venom for long periods of time. Just use one attack on him all the timeand that is double jumping and then pressing the kick button twice.
Back offafter that and keep repeating the above strategy until you win. Oh! and venomignores Silver Sable most of the time so no need to worry about her.
7.15 - As If One Symbiote Wasn't Enough

Boss Fight: Carnage
Prepare for one long and hectic battle. You start in a small room. He hasfour attacks some really hurt. He has a claw attack similar some what to yoursbut avoidable.
His major attack is when he screams.Jump away immediatelybecause he will do a massive tentacle attack just like all other massiveattacks you have faced. He will also zip towards you and attack so jump whenhe does.
He will also try to jump on you and try to attack you with histentacles, jump away. The best technique against carnage will be attacking him2-3 times via your tentacles and then backing off while avoiding his attacks.You should also throw carnage if you need to. He will eventually escape througha door and start regaining health.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
Win the mini-game to get through and see him escape yet again. Win anothermini-game and go through. Remember to feed on as many humans as you like butmake sure you throw carnage before you do it otherwise he will attack youcontinously. He has a new set of moves.
He has a long range grab. A littletough of avoid. He can tentacle attack similar to yours. Plus if you leave himalone he will automatically heal some of his health back. Just keep thepressure on him attacking whenever there is an opening. Throw all types ofobjects at him. Remember to throw him before feeding on people. Eventuallyyou will win. Watch the cut-scene.
7.16 - Time for The Truth To Come Out
Boss Fight: VenomMore Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
This is going to be a difficult fight. Venom will try to destroy the helicopterand you have to stop him. Since he has completely absorbed all particles, youdont have to worry about any headaches affecting you. DONT jump near theblades of the helicopter as you will suffer major damage by it's blades.
Pleasenote that when Venom is attacking the helicopter, he is vulnerable to yourattacks so try to land as many punches and kicks on him before he replies back.Dont try to jump when near the helicopter.
When he is attacking you, you haveto attack him when he roars and then BACK OFF immedieately. If you fall off,then swing back up. When you reduce his health to 1/3, phase 2 of the fightbegins.
More Ultimate Spider-Man Tips:
This part is more difficult due to lack of space to move around. Be carefulabout the blades of the helicopter and keep repeating the previous strategy.If the going really gets tough then back off enough so that he focuses hisattention on the helicopter and then immediately attack him while he isvulnerable. You will win eventually.

There are many things to talk about, lets start with the swinging mechanism.Sadly, the swinging in ultimate spider-man is NOT as fun as it was inSpider-Man 2.
You don't have any swing mode options this time and the defaultmode is not very enjoyable. You don't have much control of your webbing anymore. Plus, lack of sky scrappers in this game makes swinging somewhat moredifficult.
However, all is not lost and after an hour's practice, you getthe hang of it. Next up is the combat; the combat in this game is not asvaried as it was in Spider-Man 2. You have very few combos up your sleeveplus you can take down most normal enemies using the same button pattern.The boss fights and chase sequences of this game are very challenging andenjoyable.
The most hyped thing about this game was the ability to play asVenom. The game does not disappoint, as the Venom levels are the most funparts of the game. Venom controls are completely different from Spider-Man.While spider-man uses his agility and web shooters to move around, Venomrelies on pure strength, leaping from one building to another cover hugedistances.
Plus, the game also features a very cool feeding system. Sincethe venom suit is feeding on Eddie, you have to absorb energy from humanhosts every now and then in order to keep your health up.
Fortunately,feeding is not only easy but also fun. Sadly, the combat sequences of Venomdon't offer much variety and is basically button mashing sequences.
Thecity events are pretty similar to that of Spider-Man 2 and they get boringafter a while because stopping a robbery and stopping a mugging is one andthe same thing. The game-play could have used more tuning.

The game features cell-shaded graphics to give a comical look to the game.The developers succeed to a large exent as the cut-scenes and city looksvery good. However, lack of sky scrappers and low detail hamper theexperience somewhat.

The game features great audio. The sound effects of webbing coming out of theweb shooters and Venom's growling are very well done. Same goes for mostother sound effects. The voice acting of this game is it's best part. Allthe characters have been expertly handled and the dialogue features manytrademark one-liners.

Ultimate Spider-Man features a very original story that was specially createdfor this game. The father's of Peter and Eddie were working on a suit thatnot only cured cancer but also enhanced the strength and other abilities ofthe person wearing it. Unfortunately, the company owner sees the suit moreof a weapon then a cure and arranges for both scientists to be killed in a"plane crash".
Years later their sons (once friends) meet again and seetheir inheritance, the Venom suit. This leads to a series of events inwhich the Venom suit is first worn by Peter and then Eddie after which thesuit completely takes control over Eddie. The story revolves around findingthe truth behind their father's death and making a cure for Eddie.

The game features very little replay value. Sure you can play as Venom aftercompleting the game but it becomes boring after an hour or so.
Buy/Rent
I would strongly suggest you to rent the game first before you buy it.
